The Private Equity sector is undergoing profound changes due to the economic crisis.

To stay ahead in the game, private equity firms need to access the most highly qualified executives who are able to focus not only on transactions but, more importantly, on managing portfolio companies, being able to implement financial and operational changes.

Our client, a major private equity actor in Belgium, was willing to extend its team in order to reduce the uncertainty and to control the risk. It was necessary to find a candidate with the right financial skills and experiences but also who was able to integrate into the culture and would appropriate the values underlying the Fund.

We undertook a European search analysing all the private equity boutiques that had a comparative positioning in terms of target size of the fund and focused on capital development. It led to the recruitment of a French candidate with a strong entrepreneurial mind and hands-on experiences. He has been able to fit immediately into the team with a strong added value.
